A versatile criminal practitioner, David Durose has a practice spanning violent crime, sexual offences, fraud, money laundering and drugs conspiracies. He has a particular interest in financial crime, computer crime and regulatory offences having participated in a number of serious fraud cases, including SFO company fraud, pension fraud and MTIC VAT fraud trials.

David has also appeared in cases prosecuted by the Federation Against Copyright Theft, the DTI, the Occupational Pensions Regulatory Authority, Trading Standards and other specialist regulatory bodies. In addition, he is expert in cases of kidnapping, derived from Scotland Yard’s specialist kidnap unit. Recent highlights have included representing the lead defendant in a £50 million computer chip carousel fraud in a six month trial, acting for the main defendant in a complex £4 million pension fund fraud, and the successful prosecution of a case of kidnap and false imprisonment.
