Barristers Specialising
in Regulatory:
Regulatory
The ability of the Regulatory team is founded upon each member’s experience in our core discipline of crime. Furnival prides itself in its Jury and Appellant advocacy, which we believe is a matchless basis for any tribunal work.
Members of Chambers have also
built upon their expertise in the technical aspects of financial crime,
forfeiture, confiscation and civil fraud and have successfully developed this
growing area of law.
Having a solid and longstanding experience in criminal and civil crossovers has
enabled Chambers to widen its remit so as to include instructions from
institutions ranging from the Rugby League to the MHRA.
Members of
Chambers have been instructed in the following areas of Regulatory dispute,
both in terms of advice and tribunal advocacy:
- Financial Services Authority enforcement actions and applications to the Regulator (For the Authority and for the Respondent/Applicant)
- Security Industry Authority
- Sports Tribunals
- Trading standards and Trade descriptions
- Trade marks and Copyright
- Health and Safety
- Company Regulatory/ Insolvency/ Director disqualification
- Medicine and Healthcare Regulatory Agency
- VAT and Duties Tribunals
- Education Appeal Tribunals
- Police Disciplinary Hearings
- Sex Licensing
- Prison adjudications
